Charles Rudelitch

Charles joined the firm in the summer of 2007 and has established himself as a strong negotiator and perceptive advisor who gets outstanding results for his clients.  His practice is focused on estate planning, commercial transactions, administrative law, and consumer credit issues.  He also handles the firm's internal collection matters.


After growing up on a dairy and blueberry farm in Downeast Maine, Charles earned a B.S. in Applied History from Carnegie Mellon University and a M.S. in Resource Economics and Policy from the University of Maine.  As a local official and later as a consultant, he worked on economic development issues for the Passamaquoddy Tribe and the Towns of Fort Kent, Guilford, and Bridgton.
 

As a non-traditional student, Charles earned his J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law, graduating cum laude in 2006.  Active in the school's Moot Court program, he won the Best Oralist prize and participated in a Prize Argument before the Law Court.  Before joining Farris Law, Charles worked on tax compliance issues for an investment firm and corporate trustee in Portland.  He is a member of the Maine State, Cumberland County, and Kennebec County Bar Associations as well as the Maine Community Development Association.
 

Charles currently lives in Portland, with his partner, Marc.  He enjoys gardening and travel, and whenever possible, spending time back working on the family farm.
